Disassembling a dryer: how does it work?

Hello everyone! Today I will tell you how to repair a Samsung compressor dryer. It seems to dry normally, but, as it turns out, there is a problem: the machine does not heat the air, which means it does not dry the laundry. Let's figure out what is wrong with it.

Step 1: Start disassembling
Usually, the side panels are removed first, and then everything else. But sometimes the front control panel requires attention. The main thing is to get to the system, check how it works, and understand where the problem lies. So I am starting this step.

Step 2: Freon problems
Having reached the cooling system, I suspected that there was a freon leak in the refrigeration circuit of the machine. This is confirmed by the fact that the compressor tubes remain at room temperature. If there really is a leak, the freon had to be refilled, and this is a separate job.

Step 3: Finding a solution
The customer brought a donor - a similar dryer, but with a damaged case. After inspection, it became clear that the systems inside are similar, and we will try to "transplant" the refrigeration circuit from one machine to another. I hope this will solve the problem.

By the way, the lock on the donor dryers turned out to be jammed - a rare case for such equipment. Apparently, the previous owners decided to "break" the door by force, damaging the case. As a result, the panel from the donor will also have to be fixed.
