How I installed a solid-fuel boiler with my own hands

Hello again, my construction friends! This is Konstantin, the very same do-it-yourselfer. Today I will tell you how I installed a solid-fuel boiler, because it is already very cold, and my electric boiler literally "eats" money, like a pig.

By the way, if you do not want to bother with the installation yourself, then order heating and cooling repair services from A Plus Heating and Air - this will save your time and nerves!

Now about the process. I decided to install a boiler that runs on coal, wood and even briquettes. It all started with the fact that I sketched out a plan: to the left of the boiler to place an expansion tank, to the right - a heat accumulator. And to install everything, I needed cuttings, a pipe, and the help of a friend. Lifting the boiler (weighing almost 200 kg) was the first test, but we coped: we used a trolley, pipes and even handles to move it horizontally.

The "Celsius 25" boiler is budget, but powerful (25 kW). It is enough to heat two floors and an attic. Included: automatic draft regulator and factory hydraulic test. I installed the boiler according to the level, secured the chimney (sandwich pipe 120x220 mm made of stainless steel with basalt fiber insulation) and took care of the gap between the pipe and the wall.

When it came to the piping, I used anaerobic sealant, which has saved me more than once. Santekhmaster-gel turned out to be convenient: fast, hermetically sealed, and no surprises. The pump, mud collector and expansion tank also fit as they should. The system is designed to minimize heat loss and make maintenance easier.

Working at height was also an adventure. I still insulated the roof, and connected the pipes on the ground before lifting them. I used scaffolding and did not forget about safety: I tied myself to the supports so as not to fall.

After installation, I carried out hydraulic pressure testing, connected the electric pump, and started the radiator heating system. Now the "Celsius 25" boiler provides heat for 12 hours with one fuel load at an efficiency of 90%.
